Happy Birthday Sister! Have a headband, or two, or three.

Okay, I went a little headband happy.  My sista Sara mentioned she wanted a headband so I took that seriously.  Head bands are so much fun.  They are quick knits and fun to wear.  I see many in my future.  I did all of these in a week!  I just couldn't stop.
Here is the first one, more spring.  Sara's Birthday is on St. Patty's day so there has to be a green headband.

I had a great time raiding my Mom's button stash.  She has one sweet button collection.  A few spring breaks ago I spent time sorting through all her buttons and putting them in jars according to color.   Beaches in Mexico for spring break versus button sorting?  Is there really any comparison?

I am moving on to the next birthday, my Grandma's on the 31st of March.  I am working on a shawl/wrap thing per her request.

Man (and woman's) best friend

It has been a bit since I have posted, mostly because of internet frustrations.  It is wonderful living in the middle of no where for many reasons but internet access is not on that list.  Also, loading pictures has been difficult...all well, that's life.

I wanted to take a quick minute to introduce you to a member of our family.  This is Quincy.

We are declaring today as his birthday, it's our best estimation from what we know.  We welcomed him into our family last April, the day before Easter.  We picked him up from a humane society a few hours away.  He came from a litter of six lab/bloodhound puppies and was the first one adopted.

I am somewhat amazed that he has made it though his first year.  He has had many mishaps.  I am sure I will be sharing some "Quincy stories" here, there are plenty.  He is my pal.  I am pretty sure my friends, family, and co-workers think I am some kind of werido because of how much I talk about him.  Luckily, most of them are animal lovers too and understand.

So, Happy Birthday Quincy.  We love you.  Life sure would not be the same without you around.
